Stubbs, Garvin represent ENMU on all-LSC volleyball second team

CANYON, Texas — Senior middle blocker Gracelyn Stubbs and junior outside hitter Mikaela Garvin represented Eastern New Mexico University on the All-Lone Star Conference second team in volleyball in selections announced this week at the LSC tournament.

It was Stubbs’ second and Garvin’s first berth in all-conference selections.

Stubbs contributed 261 kills, 30 aces and 90 total blocks as the Greyhounds posted a 15-13 overall record (6-10 LSC), leading the team in total blocks while finishing second in kills and aces. She has the ninth-best single-season and career marks at ENMU in hitting percentage.

In the conference, the Albuquerque native ranked fifth in hitting percentage.

Garvin, from San Antonio, led the Hounds in kills (284) and kills per set (2.9). She was 24th in the LSC in hitting percentage (.243) and 25th in blocks per set (0.76).

With wins over Lubbock Christian and Western New Mexico in the final week of the campaign, the Hounds were able to post the program’s first winning record since going 19-13 in the 2016 season.
