HS Seven-on-Seven football tournament Friday at ENMU

Tye Hiatt, head football coach ENMU, has set a regional high school seven-on-seven tournament this for Friday, in Portales at Greyhound Stadium at 9 a.m.

High school teams from New Mexico and west Texas have been invited.

Hiatt confirms Clovis, Portales, Texico, Muleshoe, Artesia, Hobbs, Roswell, Lovington and Carlsbad will be there.

He also said some of the state’s bigger schools will have players there: Rio Rancho, Volcano Vista, West Mesa, Santa Fe and a “slew of others.”

There will be a Big School Division, Small School Division and a JV/Freshman Division.

Fabian Lopez who heads up Portales’ summer food program will be grilling hamburgers for all the kids.
