UPDATE: Clovis kidnapping suspect arrested in Lubbock

UPDATE*** Clovis police Lieutenant Trevor Thron reports Saturday, Sevilla was located by the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department and taken

into custody on the charges mentioned in the following story.....

CLOVIS – Clovis Police were looking for a Clovis man in relation to an alleged kidnapping incident on Ross St. Thursday night.

Kelvin J. N. Sevilla, 27, is charged with kidnapping, robbery, assault with intent to commit a violent felony and aggravated battery against a household member.

Thursday at about 9:50 p.m. police were called to the Allsup’s store at Prince and 14th streets on the report of a 39-year-old woman who said she was held against her will at a house in the 1200 block of Ross St. by her ex-boyfriend who she identified as Sevilla.

In a police report from Clovis Police Lieutenant Trevor Thron, police saw the woman had nylon rope tied around her body, duct tape around her hands, duct tape in her hair and ligature marks around her neck and ankles.

The victim reported being tied up in a bedroom after getting into a verbal altercation with Sevilla.

The woman told police before she freed herself Sevilla allegedly held a gun to her head, attempted to suffocate her with a plastic bag, and said he was going to put her body in her vehicle and light it on fire.

A search warrant was obtained for Sevilla’s home in the 1200 block of Ross St. where evidence was collected which supported the victim’s statements of what occurred.
