Pages past, May 11: Those pantsuits were lucky

1972: Montgomery Wards was hosting its Lucky Days sale in its 100th year.

A newspaper ad featured polyester double knit pantsuits at the “hard-to-match” price of $12.88. The regular price was $20.

Wards was open 9 till 6 most days, but open until 9 p.m. on Thursdays. In Clovis, the store was at 305 Main St.
