Life-threatening wounds for man in Friday shooting

A Clovis man is in a Lubbock hospital with life-threatening injuries following a Friday morning shooting.

According to a report from Clovis police lieutenant Trevor Thron, police were called to the 500 block of Ross Street at about 9:47 a.m. on the report of someone injured by gunfire.

On arrival officers found Joshua Flores, 25, in the street bleeding “profusely” from apparent gunshot wounds.

Flores was treated on the scene by police officers and Clovis Fire Department EMS personnel. Flores was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center then on to a Lubbock hospital.

The case is still under active investigation. The Clovis Police Department requests that any person having information related to this incident contact them.
