Vehicle Vandal Strikes Golf Course

Somebody drove on to the Farwell Country Club’s golf course Tuesday night and tore up the number two green doing “donuts.”

“Things were fine yesterday evening when we left,” country club manager Gary Haseloff said. “A neighbor told us they were letting their dog out around 10 or 1030 and they saw a vehicle on the course.”

“The neighbor didn’t think anything of it,” Haseloff said. “They thought it might’ve been one of us.”

Haseloff said they know the vehicle came off of Stateline Road and did some donuts, drove around and around, on the number two green.

“We just know it was a bigger vehicle,” Haseloff said. “With bigger tires like mud tires.”

The country club is offering a reward of an unspecified amount for the apprehension of the vandal.

“There’s a couple of houses near here that have outside cameras,” Haseloff noted.

“We spent all morning patting grass down and watering,” Haseloff said.
