Bands representing Clovis public schools received 10 “superior” ratings Thursday and Friday at the Southeastern New Mexico Music Educators Association’s Band Large Group Music Performance Assessment.
Scoring “superior” in both concert performance and sight-reading were the Marshall Middle School Symphonic Band, Michealla Bailey conducting; the Clovis High School Fine Arts Symphonic Band, Dustyn Crane conducting; and the Clovis High School Concert Band and Wind Symphony, conductors Bill Allred, Susan Davis, and Juan De Leon;
Scoring “Superior” in sight-reading and “Excellent in concert performance were the Gattis Middle School Symphonic Band, Jennifer Flores, director; and Yucca Middle School Symphonic Band, Brandon Rowe, director.
