COVID-19 vaccines set this week in Clovis

New Mexico residents 18 and older may receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine this week in Clovis.

New Mexico's Department of Health on Wednesday announced vaccines will be given at the former Raintree grocery, 2300 E. Llano Estacado Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

A NMDOH news release said those interested should make an appointment at vaccineNM.org. Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis, the release said.

"(Senior citizens) in particular are encouraged to schedule appointments, but, again, this event is available to residents 18 and up by appointment on a first-come, first-serve basis," the news release stated. "Registration site users who have questions or residents who would like support with the registration process – including New Mexicans who do not have internet access – can dial 1-855-600-3453, press option 0 for vaccine questions, and then option 4 for tech support."
