Former Portales resident named to election integrity committee

Tina Dziuk, formerly of Portales, has been appointed to the Republican National Committee’s newly formed Committee on Election Integrity.

Twelve men and 12 women, representing 21 states and the District of Columbia, were selected to the committee, according to an RNC news release.

“I’m truly honored to have been chosen to serve on this important committee,” Dziuk said. “I believe election integrity is the core issue moving into the 2022 midterm elections. Voters who do not have faith in the election process will not want to participate.”

The news release stated the committee will examine “voting irregularities and other issues” and recommend best practices and other strategies to help ensure that future elections are free and fair.

Dziuk recently moved from Portales to Rio Communities in Valencia County. She was chair of the Republican Party of Roosevelt County from 2018 to this year. She’s been succeeded by Angie Smith.
