CLOVIS — For the second time in three mornings, Clovis police are investigating a shooting.

On Wednesday, police said a man was dropped off at Plains Regional Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and legs.

They identified the victim as Terrance Abeyta, 18, and said he was “not cooperative with the investigation.”

His condition was not reported.

Police said they received a call about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday reporting shots fired in the 2300 block of Robles street.

“While in route Clovis Police Department Dispatch relayed information from a caller who stated they were transporting a person to Plains Regional Medical Center, via private vehicle,” a police news release stated.

Officials have located the scene of the incident and are investigating, the release said.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting contact them at 575-769-1921 or Crime Stoppers at 575-763-7000.

Early Monday morning, police were called to a report of multiple shots fired in the 800 block of Oak Street.
