Tuesday only day to file

The Curry and Roosevelt county clerk’s offices are reminding prospective candidates for the June primary elections that Tuesday is the only day to file for positions.

Filing will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Curry County clerk’s office at 417 Gidding St. in Clovis and at the Roosevelt County clerk’s office at 109 W. First St. in Portales.

The following races are available for filing in each county:

• County clerk

• County treasurer

• County commission (Districts 1, 2, 4 and 5 in Curry; Districts 1 and 2 in Roosevelt)

• Probate judge (Roosevelt only)

• Senate Districts 7 (Curry only) and 27

• House Districts 64 (Curry only), 66 (Roosevelt only), 63 and 67

• Ninth Judicial District Attorney

• Public Education Commission, District 9

Candidates in multi-county races are required to file for office in the county where they are registered to vote.

The primary will be held June 2.
