Three injured by early-morning gunfire

CLOVIS — Police are investigating an early-Sunday incident in which three men were shot.

A police news release states officers responded to a "shots fired" call at 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Westchester Avenue in Clovis.

All three victims were taken to Plains Regional Medical Center; two were then transferred to a Lubbock hospital, the release said.

Two victims are 21; the third is 19.

Conditions of those shot were not released.

Police Special Operations Unit and the Major Crimes Unit were activated.

"Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is asked to contact the Clovis Police Department at 575-769-1921 or Crime Stoppers at 575-763-7000," the release stated.
