CHS senior gets Rowley award

CLOVIS — Chanse Bhakta has been selected this year’s winner of the Dick and Bertha Rowley award.

The award, established by Richard, Nick and Mac Rowley in honor of their parents, is a $1,000 grant to a Clovis High School senior with the highest grade-point average from grades 10-12 among those who have lettered in a varsity sport.

The recipient must also enroll as a full-time student the following fall. Should two or more athletes have the same GPA, the award is split among the recipients.
