'Significant weather' in region

The city of Clovis is warning of a "significant weather advisory" for northwestern Roosevelt County, southwestern Quay County and Western Curry County,

According to the advisory:

At 6:29 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ragland to 14 miles northwest of Elida.

Movement was east at 40 mph.

Half-inch hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with the storms.

Locations impacted include Portales, Melrose, Dora, Floyd, House, St. Vrain, Ragland, Tolar, Oasis State Park and Forrest.
