Seven selected to Clovis High Hall of Honor

Bubba Jennings, a former Naismith Award winner and college basketball standout, was among inductees announced Monday to the Clovis High School 2019 Hall of Honor.

Jennings, a 1980 CHS grad, played four seasons at Texas Tech University where he was named to the all-Southwest Conference team four times. Following his senior season he received the Naismith award, which goes to the nation’s best college men’s basketball player who is 6-foot tall or under.

In addition to Jennings, Clovis Municipal Schools Foundation and Alumni Committee selected the following:

Dr. William T. Phillips (1970), Rudy Garcia (1984), Jerry Large (1972), Tina Reames (1986), Dr. Stacee Santi Longfellow (1989) and John Urban.

Recipients will be honored on May 11 at the Clovis Civic Center.
