Curry County Association of Educational Retirees

Our program featured a presentation by guest speaker Melissa Perkins, pharmacist at Plains Regional Medical Center entitled “Grief Share.”

In her informative talk, Perkins told CCAER members about her own personal experience with loss and how she came to utilize the program she facilitates at Central Baptist Church, which gives information and tips to people who have lost a loved one, helping them to deal with their grief and loss.

She explained that grief and loss takes time to heal and doesn't necessarily follow a straight or even path. After her very informative talk, questions were taken from the floor.

We invite all retired Curry County educators and staff to join us at K-Bob’s at 11:00 a.m. for lunch and 11:30 a.m. for the program. Our next meeting will be April 2 when we will hear from Bobby Tanner on AARP driver safety. Don't miss it!
