Board holding special meeting

CLOVIS — The Clovis Municipal Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Tuesday as it begins the process of finding the district’s next superintendent.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss “limited personnel matters as it relates to the position of superintendent,” according to the agenda.

The session is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the administration building, 1009 Main St.

Discussion of a proposed timeline and process for hiring a superintendent is slated to follow the executive session, according to the agenda.

Superintendent Jody Balch on Jan. 22 announced his intention to retire at the end of the school year.
