Clovis-Hobbs boys tickets available

Tickets for the Feb. 1 Clovis-Hobbs boys basketball game at Rock Staubus Gymnasium will go on sale 8 a.m. Monday at the Clovis High Athletics Office.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, senior citizens and military with ID. Anybody with a complimentary, family or student pass, or a staff member with an ID badge is eligible for a free ticket, but must come to the athletics office by noon Thursday to claim a lower-level seat.

Lower-level tickets for the west end of the court will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, followed by upper level tickets on both sides of the court.

Advance tickets will be sold until 4 p.m. Thursday.

If any tickets are available at the door, they will be for the upper level sections only. Passes or staff IDs will be accepted.

Reserved seat ticket holders do not need to make any arrangements.

Hole-in-one hit at Colonial course

CLOVIS — Ronnie Morris of Clovis hit a hole-in-one Jan. 19 at Colonial Park Golf Course.

Morris hit the ace on the course's No. 2 hole, a 159-yard par 3, using a 7-wood.

Witnesses to the shot were Rod Dickinson, Dale Dent and Devon Cockrell.
