ENMU women’s game canceled

LAS VEGAS, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico University women’s soccer game Wednesday at New Mexico Highlands was canceled due to unsafe field conditions.

The Greyhounds (0-0-1) will head north for their next game, scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Fort Lewis.

Clovis, Portales move up varsity

PORTALES — Thursday night’s soccer game between Clovis and Portales has been rescheduled for 4 p.m., with the junior varsity contest to follow at 6 p.m.

The game, still set for Greyhound Stadium, was originally scheduled for a 4 p.m. junior varsity start and a 6 p.m. varsity contest. But concerns of inclement weather led to the schedule change.

Clovis is off to a 5-0 start this season, with 21 goals scored and just one goal allowed. Portales, meanwhile, is coming off a 6-4 loss against Roswell on Thursday.
