Thursday's paper delayed following traffic accident on U.S. 84

NOTE TO READERS: There will be a delay in delivery of Thursday's edition (Aug. 30) of The News. A very serious traffic accident on U.S. 84 between Santa Rosa and Fort Sumner halted traffic for at least four hours this morning. This delayed our delivery truck with the papers from Santa Fe. We should receive papers at our office by 8 a.m. and carriers will be dispatched after that. We apologize for the delay.
