ENMU trio continue efforts at college finals rodeo

CASPER, Wyo. — Three days into the College National Finals Rodeo and the Eastern New Mexico trio of Celie Vick, Lindsey Adcock and Landon Beardsworth are still trying to find their footing.

Vick had the best day of the three on Monday, when her first go-round put her in a tie for 14th overall in goat tying, with a round of 6.9 seconds. The senior missed scoring team points for the women by all of just .02 seconds.

Tuesday was another solid day for Vick, but a slight step back from Monday. Her second go-round resulted in a time of 7.3 seconds, which drops her to 18th overall heading into her third go-round tonight, in the Performance Category.

Adcock, meanwhile, completed her first go on Sunday. She was unsuccessful on that attempt, posting a no time, before a second go-round time of 11.9 seconds on Monday. Adcock now sits 21st overall after two rounds, and was competing in the Performance Category on Tuesday night at press time.

Beardsworth will head into Thursday night's Performance Category in steer wrestling looking to record an official time on his third go-round. Both Monday and Tuesday's Slack Category performances resulted in no times for the senior from Canada, placing him in a tie for 45th.
