Roosevelt hospital to expand into Clovis

Roosevelt General Hospital has plans to expand into Clovis, officials confirmed Wednesday.

RGH Chief Executive Officer Kaye Green wrote in an email that a billboard advertising the expansion "went up prematurely due to a little miscommunication," but confirmed that the hospital has plans to establish a primary care clinic in Clovis.

Green declined to disclose any more information until a space for the clinic has been found.

Haylee Spence, director of planning, marketing and public relations at RGH, said that more information will be available as soon as the hospital has finalized its plans for the clinic, which she added should be within the next 30 days.

Dick Smith, administrator of Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, wrote in an email that his facility looks forward "to learning more about another health care provider potentially joining the Clovis community."

"We do our best to work collaboratively with other providers to address the health care needs of the community we serve," he wrote.
