Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
From Portales to Cannes, France, the music of Roosevelt Road is spreading.
The “country rap” group, consisting of Portales High School graduates Jordan Ennis and Cole Brakebill, had music featured in the film “The Rider,” according to Jordan’s father Rodney Ennis.
“The Rider” features the Roosevelt Road song “Outlaw” and won the Confederation Internationale des Cinemas D’Art et D’Essai Award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month.
When Rodney Ennis heard that his son’s music had been selected for the film, he said he was flabbergasted.
“I said, ‘That’s wonderful. They paid you to do it — you’d probably let them for free.’”
