All 13 field offices of the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services, including the Clovis office, will be closed Tuesday through April 20, according to a DVS press release.
DVS employees will be attending a mandatory training conference in Roswell to be updated on the latest Veterans Affairs claims/filing developments and on the agency itself.
Veterans or their widows who need assistance with their VA claims during this time can contact the VA regional office in Albuquerque at 1-800-827-1000.
For assistance with filing for state veterans’ benefits, contact the main administrative office at 1-866-433-8387.
The main DVS administrative office in Santa Fe will remain open and the DVS field offices will re-open for normal business hours on April 23, the release said.
