Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Throwback Thursday, a popular internet trend in which social media users embrace nostalgia and reminisce about the past, will come two days early next week in Clovis.
The Clovis Community Concert will host its Spring Concert on Tuesday. The group of about 30 local singers will perform popular hits from the 1950s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
Songs on the program include “Great Balls of Fire” and “Love Me Tender” from the 1950s, “Good Vibrations” from the 1960s, “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Dust in the Wind” from the 1970s and will close the show with the 1980s hit “Eye of the Tiger.”
The concert begins at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1501 N. Sycamore St. in Clovis and is free to attend.
