PORTALES — Roosevelt County needs two members and two alternates to apply for positions on its protest valuation board.

According to a press release by the county, the protest valuation board members “hear and decide protests of County Assessor determinations.”

The county is seeking four applicants to serve two-year terms. Requirements: A registered voter in the county, a registered voter with “demonstrated experience in the valuation of property,” and one alternate for each of the aforementioned positions.

The county will accept letters of interest until March 30 and the Roosevelt County Commission will appoint members in April.
