CLOVIS — A fire Wednesday morning northeast of Clovis damaged a shed and house but left no injuries, officials said.
Clovis Fire Battalion Chief Dale Hand said three units responded to the blaze that “started in a storage shed then moved into a residential structure” about a quarter-mile east of the intersection of Prince Street and Wilhite Road.
The fire “got up into the attic area” of the house, Hand said, but responders extinguished the flames in about two hours and cleared the scene around 8:30 a.m.
The owner of the property and house came on scene as officials were wrapping things up, Hand said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
