U.S. no longer model of democracy

I thought the United States was a beacon for democracy, a model of fairness for the world to see.

But recently, in the United Nations, Nikki Haley threatened other nations and the UN monetarily if they did not vote her way on the issue of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

After the vote did not turn out as she had demanded, the U.S. withdrew a significant amount of its contribution to the United Nations.

Threats and removal of funds for not voting as told?

I think the United States has lost her status as a model of democracy.
