Sheriff's office seeking help to find suspect

CLOVIS — The Curry County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to find a suspected drug trafficker.

James Dupree, 46, of Texico, is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of cocaine, as well as misdemeanor use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

A search warrant executed this week on Dupree’s residence near the intersection of county roads C and 22 uncovered two firearms, drug paraphernalia, “a small amount of cocaine,” and 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value exceeding $55,000, according to a news release from Sheriff Wesley Waller.

Waller asks anyone with information concerning Dupree’s location to contact law enforcement.
