Recent Portales High grad Emilio Lovato, shown pitching in a first-round Class 4A state tournament best-of-3 series against Santa Fe Indian on May 6 at Ram Field, will play for the Boulder (Colorado) Collegians this summer in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. Lovato helped lead the Rams to the 4A state title earlier this month, the second state championship in program history.
