County boards seeking applicants

CLOVIS — Curry County is seeking applicants for a vacancy on its investment committee and four vacancies on its protest valuation board.

The investment committee, which meet quarterly, provides recommendations to the Curry County treasurer and Curry County Commission on investing county funds, amendments to the investment policy and related matters.

Investment committee applicants must live or work in the county and be either current or retired bankers or financial advisors.

The protest valuation board hears and decides on protests of county assessor determinations. The board needs applicants for four two-year terms — one member who is a qualified elector in the county, one who has demonstrated experience in the valuation of property and one alternate in each category who would vote in the primary member’s absence.

The county will accept written letters of interest for both until noon May 26, and the commission will appoint members in June.

Letters of interest should be submitted to County Manager Lance Pyle at 417 Gidding, Suite 100, Clovis, NM 88101; or [email protected]
