Ranchers find new means of water conservation

Roosevelt Soil and Water Conservation District Board Chairman Mike Cone shared with Roosevelt County commissioners Tuesday that "shade balls" are saving thousands of gallons of water from evaporating in water drink tanks for cattle. Cone conducted an experiment to see what the difference was by monitoring a tank with the balls and one without.
