NiekaStyle: Time for transition pieces

We are finally starting to feel a chill in the great outdoors. So far, the weather has been good to us here on the plains but most of us are ready to pull out our warmer sweaters and cozy scarves. Transition seasonal dressing is great because you get to mix your warm and cool pieces together, which is the time you get to sample your best fashions. Here are a few pieces for mixing and matching:

NiekaStyle

Slim turtlenecks: Turtlenecks are a must-have for transitioning spring or summer dresses for fall. There are some who don’t like to be confined by the extra fabric around their neck, but the right fabric should do the trick. Shop lighter cool fabrics because no one should have to deal with the itch factor. These shirts also look great tucked in with jeans and a belt or paired with a nice pair of dress slacks.

Traditional black leggings/tights: No matter if they’re leather inspired or polyester and spandex, these pants aren’t going anywhere. No matter if you think they’re considered pants or not, they go nicely with everything and look great on every body type. Because they can be worn various ways, anyone can pull them off. They pair with your boots, your sneakers, your sweaters, t-shirts and dresses. Everyone should own a few pairs.

Trench coats: The trench is timeless, so no matter what styles you might own you will always go back to it at some point.

Winter fedora: There's nothing better than a good hat to top off your fall fashions. Whether it’s worn for style or as a cover up for lazy hair days, there are days you can't leave home without one. A wool, felted cloche floppy fedora is a wonderful hat to pair with your casual or sporty outfit this fall.
