NiekaStyle: Beauty Tights are 'amazing'

Beauty Tights are one of the latest crazes. Why? First, they have crystals. Second, they are made for your health, apparently, and they are $98. Let’s see why.

They are compression tights, where they're tighter at the ankles so that blood flows evenly throughout the legs, calibrated to stimulate an acupressure point known in Eastern medicine as the “three yin intersection" to relieve stress, insomnia, and anxiety, ease digestive concerns and boost energy. The crystals themselves are ceramic based and tiny after being melted into the stretchy yarn.

According to the leg-wear company that created them, Item M6, the tights exhibit heat-triggered photo luminescence, which means they turn body warmth into far-infrared radiation. They are said to gently increase blood flow and also increase oxygenation and regeneration of the blood.

Vogue Contributing Editor Eviana Hartman first wrote about these tights a few days ago after ordering a pair herself. After trying them on she claimed that they were really tight and that she contorted into them every morning and washed them every night as suggested. She said, "I could have sworn my skin felt softer afterward. The tourniquet effect was pleasant — calming, even. As for the results of all that spleen meridian stimulation, it’s hard to say. But I was mostly happy and productive during that fortnight, and after wearing them on a six-hour JFK-to-LAX flight, I noticed a conspicuous absence of jet lag."

What amazing tights. They serve more than just a great look on the outside and benefit you on the inside, as well. Now we know why they're called Beauty Tights.
