Pair of suicide recognition trainings offered

A pair of free trainings on ways to recognize suicidal behaviors in friends, family and others are set for next month.

Interested people may attend either noon-1:30 p.m. Nov. 3 or 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Matt 25 Hope Center.

The training, offered by Clovis-based Junctions, will cover how to question, persuade and refer someone who may be suicidal; how to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide; common causes of suicidal behavior; warning signs of suicide and how to get help for someone in crisis.
