Hillary Clinton would have you believe that she managed to escape her early public service experience with little accumulated wealth and indeed left the White House “dead broke.”
How she managed to amass a fortune of several hundreds of millions of dollars remains a mystery unless you delve into the Clinton Foundation or the Clinton Global Initiative.

When speaking to voters, Hillary constantly harangues them with the fact that the system is rigged for the top 1 percent. She does this without any appreciation of the fact that she is in the category she claims has done the rigging.
It puts one in mind of the Woody Guthrie song, “Pretty Boy Floyd” in which he tells us, “Some rob you with a six gun, some with a fountain pen.”
I was alive while FDR was in office, but too young to remember him. Donald Trump is the first candidate for president in my memory who seems to be proud of the fact that he is rich and successful. He is comfortable in his own skin and his children appear to be the same.
Donald Junior, in his speech to the Republican Convention, noted that his Trump siblings were as comfortable in an earth mover as they were in their own cars.
If Trump is a throwback to the Gilded Age of the robber barons, he has at the very least built a business empire. Have you ever seen a “Clinton Tower?”
A major point in the Clinton jobs plan is, “Launch our country’s boldest investments in infrastructure since the construction of our interstate highway system in the 1950s.”
The current administration had the opportunity and almost a trillion dollars to do exactly that early in its term and failed miserably. What would lead anyone to believe that a candidate pledged to continue the policies of her predecessor would do anything differently?
To my knowledge, the only jobs ever created by Clinton resulted from the firing of seven employees of the White House travel office in 1993 and the hiring of a firm with ties to the Clintons to replace them.
In February of this year at the presidential debate in Houston, one candidate made the remark to Trump, “You’re the only person on this stage that has ever been fined for hiring people to work on your projects illegally. You hired some workers from Poland...”
Trump responded, “No, no, I’m the only one on the stage that’s hired people. You haven’t hired anybody.”
That Trump remark holds true for Hillary Clinton as well as for Barack Obama.
