Three Eastern New Mexico University track and field members were named to the Lone Star Conference team, according to a Wednesday release from the LSC.
Senior Klaudia Szych and juniors Lacy Harris and Ally Salata were among 27 female athletes selected to the all-conference team. No ENMU athletes were among the 24 all-conference men’s team.
To qualify for the team, an athlete must win an event or be part of a winning relay team at the conference championships or score 14 overall points.
The top male athletes were Luis Perez of Angelo State in track and Lulalo Boyce of Texas A&M-Kingsville in field, and the Javelinas’ Ryan Dall was the men’s coach of the year. West Texas A&M swept the women’s awards between Libby Strickland (track), Rellie Kaputin (field) and Darren Flowers (coach).
