Senator touring area colleges

Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., will tour three area colleges Thursday and Friday, according to a release from the senator’s office.

Thursday morning, Heinrich will tour the North American Wind Research and Training Center at Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari from 11 a.m. to 12:15. He will then travel to Clovis Community College for a tour, followed by a 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. college affordability roundtable.

Heinrich will tour Eastern New Mexico University Friday and hold a 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. roundtable, then visit the Hampton Farms Peanut Company.
