Hounds add fourth signee in women's soccer

PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University women’s soccer coach Omar Morales has added a fourth signee for the upcoming season in Samantha Fabela of El Paso Chapin.

Fabela was named first team all-district three straight years, including the last two years winning offensive MVP.

“Sam is a special player, she eats sleeps and dreams soccer,” said Morales. “Her older sister (Sara Ramirez) played with my wife back in El Paso years back so when we found Sam and watched her play it was obvious she was a good player and could become an even better player in the near future.”

Previously signed for next year were Samantha Meza of Clovis, Anniah Rici Galdean of Canyon Randall and Naomi Abeyta of St. Pius High School in Albuquerque.
