• Last season: The Texans beat the Hounds three times, including 80-50 in the opening round of the LSC tournament. In regular-season play, Tarleton won 89-64 at Portales and 65-55 at Stephenville.
• Last time out: ENMU saw a 16-point, second-half lead dissipate in a last-minute, 70-68 loss to Angelo State on Saturday at Greyhound Arena. The Texans, ranked 10th in NCAA Division II, were beaten at No. 4 Midwestern State 66-63 last Wednesday.
• Of note: Tarleton is 11-1 at home this season, 1-1 both on the road and on neutral courts. … The Texans’ three losses have been by a total of seven points, including one in OT. … Tarleton leads the all-time series with the Greyhounds 38-8, including 38-5 since the schools joined NCAA Division II during the 1980s. The Texans have won the last seven and 17 of the last 18 matchups. … TSU hasn’t lost two in a row since a four-game slide in 2013, a span of 98 games. … Texans coach Lonn Reisman, in his 28th season at the school, has a 386-63 home record, including 167-15 (92 percent) since 2005. • Last time out: ENMU lost at home to Angelo State 79-61 on Saturday. The TexAnns were beaten by LSC co-leader Texas Woman’s 61-58 on Sunday at Stephenville.
• Of note: The TexAnns have been struggling of late, losing five of their last seven, although one of the wins was a 92-65 blowout of Angelo on Jan. 6. … The only double-figure scorer for Tarleton is 5-7 junior G Bailey Wipff (13.9 ppg, 44 percent 3-point FGs, 89 percent FTs). She played juco ball at Howard College with ENMU senior G Sarah Stinnett. … ENMU has 66 blocked shots (4.4 per game), the most since the stat began to be tracked in the 2000-01 season. The only other time the program was over 4 bpg in that span was in 2006-07 (4.1, 107 blocks in 26 games).
