Men

• When: 6:30 p.m. (MST) today at Kingsville, Texas

• Records: ENMU 4-10 (0-2 Lone Star Conference), Texas A&M-Kingsville 8-5 (0-2)

• Last season: The Javelinas swept the Greyhounds, winning 75-67 at Portales and 83-52 at Kingsville.

• Last time out: ENMU lost at sixth-ranked Midwestern State 90-56 while the Javelinas dropped a 50-47 decision at home to ninth-ranked Tarleton State, both on Saturday.

• Of note: Kingsville leads the all-time series 42-25. … Leaders for the Javs are 6-foot-7 senior F Troy Jones (12.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 52 percent FGs) and 6-2 senior G D.J. Weathers (11.2 ppg). However, Kingsville has been outscored by around 2 1/2 points per game this season and is shooting just 37 percent from the field. … The Javelinas have lost three of their last four while the Hounds have dropped five of their past six. … Kingsville limited Tarleton State to 5-of-24 shooting in taking a 22-18 lead at halftime on Saturday, but the Texans opened the second half on a 9-1 run and held on late to deal the Javs their first home loss (4-1). … It was also Kingsville’s first loss in a game decided by five points or less (6-1). The Javs are 2-0 in overtime games. … Saturday’s loss at MSU was easily the most lopsided of the season for the Hounds.

Women

• When: 4:30 p.m. (MST) today at Kingsville, Texas

• Records: ENMU 5-8 (0-3 Lone Star Conference), Texas A&M-Kingsville 5-7 (0-2)

• Last season: ENMU took both matchups, 77-58 at Portales and 57-53 at Kingsville. The Greyhounds are 9-6 in their last 15 games against the Javelinas.

• Last time out: The Greyhounds lost at Midwestern State 61-55 while Kingsville dropped a 68-55 decision at home to Tarleton State, both on Saturday.

• Of note: The Javelinas suffered through an 0-26 season in 2014-15. They’re seeking their first LSC win since beating Angelo State on March 1, 2014. … The only player averaging in double figures for the Javs is 5-3 junior G Kaylin Roher (12.2 ppg). She also has nearly half of the team’s makes on 3-pointers this season (28-for-79). … ENMU comes in on a three-game losing streak and has lost seven of its last eight, including an exhibition game at Division I New Mexico State. Kingsville started the year 3-0 and 5-1, but after beating Texas-Permian Basin 66-65 at home on Nov. 27, the Javs lost 56-55 at UTPB three nights later and have now lost six in a row. … Kingsville led TSU after three quarters on Saturday, but was outscored by the TexAnns 29-14 in the final stanza. Roher scored 17 points and had five 3-pointers in the contest. … The win over UTPB is Kingsville’s only one at home so far (1-4).
