Hartsfield: Fashion hits the gym

What is your gym attire? I don’t claim to be a gym rat. In fact, I loathe going to the gym. Working out is one thing most don’t look forward to doing but choosing to do it in front of others is another. Most people I know who do go to the gym try to schedule their time off peak hours to get their best workout with the least distractions. I prefer walking and at home training but appearance is important too. You want to feel good about yourself when

working out just as much as you would on any other occasion. Lately, I’ve taken notice of the various promotions on workout apparel. Celebrities and designers are incorporating workout clothing to their clothing lines more now than ever. From yoga pants to sneakers, most women and some men want a trendy look. It’s not likely that you’ll see someone in cutoff sweats and a t-shirt. Today, you’ll find people in the latest muscle tanks, tunic tanks for women, graphic yoga pants and colorful sneakers. The workout graphic tee is another top seller that I notice being worn a lot. The one other popular item every person who is headed to the gym or out for a run is wearing is the hoodie. Whether it’s a pullover or a zip hoodie, no matter what the fabric is — everyone seems to be wearing the hoodie. When it comes to picking workout apparel, it depends on whom you ask. Some don’t put much effort into their sports fashion. Depending on what type of training or exercise you do plays an important factor as well. Overall, every fashion person can admit that having good style inside and out the gym is a plus. You get to look while getting into shape.
