Hartsfield: Hair fashion sparkles with glitter

If you love fashion, then you probably have an opinion on every little thing that enhances your appearance. Everything, from jewelry and nail color to changing your hair, goes hand-in-hand with your desire for style.

You probably get equally annoyed or excited about all the eccentric trends that pop in and out of style. Take for instance, hair color. For the past few years we’ve seen so many bold expressions of color. We’ve seen the blues, greens, pinks and, most recently, young girls going gray. But the latest that has been brought to my attention in hair is glitter.

In the late 90s and early 2000s it was all about glitter makeup and glitter lotions, but now the trend has converted to hair. How is it being worn? Well, apparently girls are mixing glitter with their styling gel and applying it to their hair. Want to add some dazzle to your roots? Part your hair into your favorite loose style or up-do and apply your glittered gel as a cover to your new roots. You can slap it on thick or thin.

If you want a subtler look, you can apply one thin strip along the part of your hair. I have to admit, this technique looks pretty cool. I can see myself sampling the thin strip — I’ll let the younger crowd indulge in the rest.

Another great trend that the millennial and beyond can splurge on is the high-end rain boots. A nice weather boot is everything this fall and winter season, and designers are giving you great style and weather resistance all in one. If you love your boots and love to be out in the elements, rain or shine, then this is your trend. You will see various styles online or in your local department stores.
