Police: Clovis man shot early Sunday

Staff report

A Clovis man was shot early Sunday morning according to Interim Police Chief Doug Ford.

The shooting victim was treated and discharged from Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, hospital officials said Monday.

Ford said the shooting happened between 5 and 5:30 a.m. Sunday, but the location of the shooting is still being determined.

Ford said emergency responders went to different addresses and, “this guy showed up at the hospital.”

Investigators are still gathering information on who was involved in Sunday's incident, Ford said, and declined to confirm or deny if police have any suspects.

“Hopefully we'll get more (information) out of (those involved),” Ford said. “We're working on stuff and will have more information in the next couple of days.”
