ENMU women third at Sul Ross rodeo

ALPINE, Texas — The Eastern New Mexico University women’s rodeo finished third while the men were 11th over the weekend in competition hosted by Sul Ross State.

The ENMU women scored 80 points, highlighted by a win in goat-tying by sophomore Lindsey Adcock, who also won the short round and the average. Celie Vick and Paxton Segelke finished fifth and six, respectively.

Adcock and teammate Tierra Gray split fifth and sixth in the first round of breakway roping, while freshman Samantha Smith was 10th in barrel racing.

For the men, junior Logan Vick was fifth in steer wrestling, with junior Eli Lord placing third in the first go.

The Greyhounds are back in action this weekend in the Vernon College rodeo at Vernon, Texas.
