Xcel names operations director
Xcel Energy has named Alan Bellinghausen as its director of substation operations and maintenance for its eight-state service area, according to a company release.
Bellinghausen, previously director of substation operations and maintenance for Texas and New Mexico, first joined the company in 1975 as an apprentice electrician for Southwestern Public Service Company. He holds a degree in applied science management development from Amarillo College, and also a journeyman electrician certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Bellinghausen will remain in Amarillo for his duties.
His old position has been filled by Chance Hedger of Amarillo, who has been with Xcel for 26 years in various positions.
