Anything on wheels ...

• Draggin' Main is looking for gearheads with vintage cars and trucks, sports cars, motorcycles ... you name it, for the annual gathering of smoking rubber and nostalgia June 27 in downtown Clovis. Gentle men and women, crank up the stereo and start your engines. This year's event also features free dinner to all active or retired military and their families, courtesy of the Committee of Fifty — the sometimes mysterious group trying to change its public image. More info at 575-763-3435.

Become a cop ...

• The state Veteran's Services and the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Hobbs are urging veterans to use the G.I. Bill benefits to enter and complete a 16-week course to become certified law enforcement officers. More info at 575-492-2715.
