Hot cars ...

• These aren’t just hot rods and street rods. Included in the mix of 15-20 cars on display from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in Clovis is a Ferrari Testarossa. Uh huh. It’s part of the 20th Street Rodder Road Tour from Pamona, California, to Austin, Texas. They’re stopping in Clovis to tour the Norman & Vi Petty Rock ’n’ Roll Museum and displaying their cars to the public outside the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce at Grand and Main. Mind our dust. See you there.

Judge candidate ...

• It’s not official yet, but Chief Deputy District Attorney Brian Stover has confirmed he will be a candidate to replace retiring District Judge Stephen Quinn, spotted recently riding his bicycle during lunch hour near Prince and Seventh. Stover is known as the workhorse of the DA’s office and handles most of the tough major felony cases. Quinn is an accomplished biker who can be spotted pedaling downtown during lunch hour, weather permitting. The deadline for lawyers to apply for his job is Monday. Bring your own bike.
