Three bridges under construction

Bridge replacement work is going on this week at three bridges in Curry and De Baca counties.

The work, according to a release from the state Department of Transportation, is part of a $4 million project. Work will include bridges at:

- Mile marker 20 on N.M. 209 near Broadview in Curry County for bridge removal and replacement.

- Mile marker 7 of U.S. 84 in De Baca County for preventative maintenance.

- Mile marker 18 of U.S. 84 in De Baca County for preventative maintenance.

Motorists can expect lane restrictions and temporary closures during the work period. The projects are expected to be completed in the winter of 2016, weather permitting.
