In Clovis, registration is ongoing for the 50-plus Senior Olympics. It is 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Roy Walker Recreation Center. Registration cost is $20. Registration will also be Friday, Saturday and Monday at the center.

Coming up ...

• The Clovis Lions Club is hosting a gun and knife show Friday (1 p.m.-7 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (8 a.m.-5 p.m.) at the Clovis Civic Center. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and younger.

• The Cowgirls Rodeo Association will hold its Running for the Green Barrel Races at the Curry County Events Center. Admission is free for all three days. Races begin 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.

• The Roosevelt County Events Arena will feature the Border Wars New Mexico/Texas Shootout at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free for both days of the Cowboy Mounted Shooters Association event.
